Call of Duty 7 Black Ops isn’t launching early, Activision has confirmed following days of rumours about the game’s release date.

The game is still launching on November 14 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, putting an end to the rumours first sparked by a number of outlets, including Forbes, which erroneously claimed that the $100 Vault Edition of the game included 72 hours of early access starting on November 11.

Scump, a former Call of Duty professional player, also said on X that he had heard rumours about an early release, according to Dexerto, something that was repeated by prolific leaker TheGhostofHope. Then the PlayStation Game Size Account, which reportedly gets its information from PlayStation, said the game’s campaign and zombies mode was set to release on November 10.

However, to quell the rumours, Activision confirmed to both Forbes and Charlie Intel that there’d be no early access, meaning the first time you’ll be able to get your hands on the game is on November 14.

Then you’ll be able to experience the new co-op campaign that’ll take you to Japan and the Mediterranean coast, the multiplayer which promises 16 6vs6 maps and two 20vs20 maps at launch, and a new Zombies experience.

Activision is calling the game the “biggest Black Ops ever” with a whole host of extra content – including Nuketown, of course – coming later on in Season 1.
