It has been just under two years since the release of the top-end Nothing Phone 2, and it appears that Nothing will celebrate the anniversary with the unveiling of the Nothing Phone 3.

But while the Phone 2 was a mid-range affair, Nothing has confirmed that the Phone 3 will be the company’s first true flagship, with all the associated bells and whistles. The company has also confirmed that we’re just weeks away from its grand reveal, which is set to take place on 1 July 2025.

That said, we already know a great deal about the upcoming smartphone, thanks to a combination of official teasers from Nothing and a flurry of leaks.

If you can’t wait for the big reveal, here’s everything there is to know about the Nothing Phone 3 right now, from release date and possible pricing to key new features and changes rumored to be on the way.

Nothing Phone 3 release date and rumored pricing

Nothing has confirmed that the Phone 3 will be unveiled on 1 July 2025. The company posted a teaser on social media in early June, and CEO Carl Pei reiterated on X that “Phone (3) and Headphone (1)” are launching on 1 July.

Pricing details are yet to be confirmed, but clues suggest a notable increase. Pei himself has called the Phone 3 the first true flagship from the company, and rumors suggest that it could cost around £799/$799. For comparison, the Phone 2 started at £579/$599.

More importantly, Nothing has confirmed that Phone 3 will be sold in the US, outside of its usual beta program, for the first time.

Nothing Phone 3 design rumors

Leaks so far suggest that the Phone 3 will keep Nothing’s trademark transparent aesthetic, but refine the details.

Early photos from leakers show that the chassis still features curved metal edges and smooth corners, and will likely be available in white and black variants. However, one key change is expected: the Glyph interface (rear LED light system) appears to be gone.

Nothing even posted “We killed the Glyph interface” on social media, and leaked images show no LED strips on the back.

Instead, the back is set feature a new dot-matrix LED dubbed the Glyph Matrix. This was heavily rumored for a while, but it has since been confirmed by Nothing, and it looks like it could live in the upper-right corner of the Phone 3.

Interestingly, the leaked image of the Phone 3 shared online doesn’t seem to accomodate this new Glyph matrix, suggesting that it might not be entierly accurate.

Nothing Phone 3 camera rumors

Unlike the dual-camera design of the Phone 2, the Phone 3 is expected to ship with a triple-camera setup on the rear. A leaked photo of the upcoming smartphone showcases three distinct sensors in a vertical module, suggesting a new camera layout could also be on the way.

It looks like it’ll be a similar combination of main, periscope and ultrawide lenses as the mid-range Nothing Phone 3a Pro, though we’d expect higher-spec hardware to reflect the Phone 3’s flagship nature.

Nothing Phone 3 performance and AI rumors

Nothing calls the Phone 3 its first true flagship, but it won’t use Qualcomm’s absolute top chip. Instead, the company has confirmed that the Phone 3 will be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.

This chipset is very powerful and should offer multi-core CPU performance on par with last year’s top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, it skips Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Oryon X cores, so it falls well short of what you’ll get from the 2025 flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite.

In real-world terms, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 should handle any app smoothly, but the Phone 3 won’t match phones using the 8 Elite in things like 8K video capture or the absolute highest benchmark scores.

Where Nothing really hopes to stand out is with its highly stylised, AI-driven software in the form of Nothing OS.

The company has already been building towards a “post-app” user experience and Pei has said that the Phone 3 will be at the center of its AI efforts.

Nothing has already introduced an Essential Space feature on the Phone 3a series, offering a quick way to capture screen content and add reminders using AI, and it’s expected that the Phone 3 will expand on this.

In leaked internal emails, Pei wrote that the Phone 3 “will introduce breakthrough innovations in user interface, taking our first step towards our AI-powered platform”. He’s talked about “dynamic” and “personalised” interfaces that respond to user needs, but nothing specific just yet.
