Gradually, Oppo Returns in France and if the brand is much more present in other European countries, France is not forgotten, even if we remember how the brand is part of the French market without really valid reasons. Suddenly, it will take some time before the French public re-provides some confidence to the Chinese manufacturer. The latter is aware of this and that is why France returns Petiti to small with all the announcements ofOppo.

Also, today, it’s Milan that the Chinese manufacturer has just formalized its brand new Reno13 Series With no less than three models, like last year with the Reno12 Series. The only difference is that this year, the three models were announced at the same time while last year, the most entry -level model had been announced a few weeks after the other two. On our side, we are today interested in the highest range of Reno13 Series.

As a reminder, at Oppothe range Reno is the range of average range smartphones with a focus on the photo. And when we think of mid -range, we think of balanced smartphones with which the manufacturer had to work in order to offer a happy medium between performance, technical characteristics and Price too. We spent ten days with the new Oppo Reno13 Prohere is our test.

Design, Ecran and Audio

One of the things you can recognize in Oppo is to always offer a design specific to the Reno range. And in this sense, we are talking about a fairly square and angular design. This is also seen on the photo block which is very different from what Oppo offers with its Find X range for example. On this reno13 pro, there is a high-end finish of the most interesting with not only a metal outline and especially a glass back with a most pleasant soft-touch rendering. This is undoubtedly one of the coatings that we have recently preferred. In addition to that, we discover from the first grip that the smartphone is extremely fine with only 7.55mm thick, without forgetting a featherweight below 200g.

On the front, we obviously find the screen with its punch for the front camera. The fingerprint sensor is of the optical type and is therefore under the screen. If he has not specially posed a problem, we do not know why at Oppo (and OnePlus), we place it also low on the screen. Suddenly, we are forced to really fold your thumb to unlock the smartphone. We really don’t understand this choice. Next to it, there is an XL screen with a diagonal of 6.83 inches. Also, we are happy to remember that the Reno13 Pro is both light and fine, which allows better grip on a daily basis. Some will find this screen too large but to be honest, this diagonal remains pleasant on a daily basis. Otherwise, we will note rather fine screen edges for a mid -range smartphone. So we find a hallmark at the top and yes, it is an Amoled slab with a Full HD+definition. And because we are in 2025, mid -range or not, there is a 120Hz refreshment rate. It is variable but by landing (60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz). On a daily basis, we will not necessarily see a difference with a screen that is LPTO 1-120Hz.

On the sound side, there are now two speakers and it’s a real plus. We remind you that a few more years ago, some mid-range only offered a mono speaker. In any case, with the displayed price, it is a minimum and not to offer double speakers would have been a professional fault. Unsurprisingly, we do not find a 3.5mm jack port. Afterwards, it is not as if it was a defect since all the manufacturers abandon it but it is to be reported. Otherwise, the sound volume is rather well contained and that does not saturate. Obviously, this remains smartphone speakers and if it is enough for short content, we can only advise you an external speaker or headphones.

Coloros 15, Performances and autonomy

On the Android side, no surprise in itself, we obviously find the Coloros 15 overlay already available for some time on the most recent smartphones of Oppo. With this version 15, we find Android 15 of course. And as we have known for some time, Coloros is very close to Oxygenos, nothing special to note but this remains one of the most appreciable overlay on the market. Oxygenos differs with a more sober design and more discreet colors, where does the name perhaps? In any case, it was a pleasure on a daily basis and we quickly found our brands. If there are still questionable interface choices, we did not have to complain too much. The experience was fluid and pleasant. And inevitably, because we are in 2025, Coloros 15, it is also a lot of photo tools assisted by IA. We can thus erase content, improves content, delete reflections or change certain things via AI. We also find the IA tools for transcipation, summary and translation. Great classic now.

On the other hand, the Bloatware installed by default, it is no longer possible in 2025. Fortunately, it can be uninstalled easily but still!

On the performance side, the Oppo Reno13 Pro offers, not a Qualcomm SOC, but a Mediatek 8350 SOC. It is a mid -range SOC. If we were afraid for the most gourmet applications like the games, we noticed that there was no complaint. On Call of Duty Mobile, there was no particular concern. Ditto on the side of the other games we are used to playing like Diablo Immortals, Rocket League Side Swipe or Wild Rifts. Overall, performance was there for fluid use. It is clearly not the most velochild of the SOC but it will be enough for 99% of our daily uses.

The Oppo Reno13 Pro offers an impressive 5800mAh battery, and yes, it’s huge in terms of capacity but Oppo has succeeded in keeping a relatively fine smartphone. And in terms of autonomy, in order to put it simply, we held without blinking two typical days in our daily tests. It is quite impressive because we did not even try to optimize anything in absolute terms. Everything remained by default and it was a real luxury to be able to recharge your smartphone only every two days.

Photo and video

As we said above, the Oppo Reno13 Pro is focused on the photo. So yes, he will not go and try to compete with the Find X8 Pro range for example but he has solid arguments to avoid paying a premium price for a capable photophone. Also, there is a complete photo block composed of the three classic cameras that are the standard Grand Angle, the Ultra Grand-Angle and the Telephoto with an optical zoom of 3.5x.

Under ideal light conditions, the Reno13 Pro offers contrasting and stuck photos. The colors and the exhibition are well respected overall. There is sometimes a lack of consistency between the three cameras but overall, we did not have to complain. We just regret that OPPO did not deem it necessary to offer a sensor with more megapixels for the ultra grand angle because with the latter, the photos clearly lack bitter and even more when we leave the center of the photo. In low light conditions, we remain rather pleasantly surprised by the photos made with the Oppo Reno13 Pro, it is the level of a high -end smartphone. It’s a little too smoothed at times but the whole keeps a certain level of details, which remains a good feat.

More than words, here are examples taken with the Oppo Reno13 Pro :

On the video side, we find the night video function, always effective, especially on a mid -range smartphone. Like the night mode in photo, we limit the impression of having an additional light to light the scene. But for the rest, the Oppo Reno13 Pro, without necessarily being the video of the year is doing pretty well with a good stabilization. The videos are contrasting and detailed, we will just avoid too sudden cameras movements, otherwise they will have jerks.
