After SFR Family, the Free Family formula and B.iG at Bouygues Telecom, Orange is pulling out all the stops by offering interesting new features. The response from the historic operator was expected after the announcements for the whole family by its main competitors. Orange is stocking up on new features by enriching its Internet access offers on the one hand, and by strengthening its offer for families.

Flows are increasing, not prices

Orange is positioning itself against its rivals by offering higher fiber optic speeds. The classic entry-level offer, called Livebox Fibrenow offers up to 1 Gbps download et 700 Mbit/s sending. A nice improvement for this formula which until now capped at a symmetrical speed of 500 Mbit/s. Still offered with a Livebox 5 (Wi-Fi 5) and an Ultra HD 4K decoder, the subscription is still available at 24.99 euros/month for 6 months, then 42.99 euros/month.

Just above, the mid-range offer (Livebox Up) is the one that evolves the least. The downstream rate (download) remains at 2 Gbit/s maximum while the upload speed (send) increases to 800 Mbit/s (instead of 600 Mbit/s). Here again, the Price is still 29.99 euros/month for 6 months, then 51.99 euros/month. The package includes a Livebox 6 (Wi-Fi 6e), a Wi-Fi 6 repeater on request) and a 4K Ultra HD decoder.

The latest offer, Livebox Max Fibreis experiencing a significant improvement by now offering up to 8 Gbps download and upload. Orange’s most expensive offer joins the Freebox Ultra in terms of speeds, breaking the old limit set at 5 Gbit/s for reception and 1 Gbit/s for sending. Note that you must be eligible to expect such speeds and that deployment is underway. The price remains at 34.99 euros/month for 6 months, then 57.99 euros/month, but this offers an advantage: -5 euros/month discount per streaming platform (see below)

Finally, the offer Just Livebox maintains a flow up to 400 Mbps while the subscription Livebox Fiber Special Series goes from 400 Mbit/s to 1 Gbit/s down et 700 Mbit/s amount. All subscriptions are offered with a 12-month commitment.

Preferential rate for Netflix, Disney+ and Max, Open benefits… Orange also thinks about families

In addition to faster speeds without a price increase, Orange offers streaming platforms at a preferential rate on the offer Livebox Max. Customers of the ISP’s flagship offer can benefit from a discount of 5 euros per month by platform among Netflix, Disney+ and Max. This discount is valid regardless of the version chosen (with advertising or premium) and can be combined. Livebox Max customers can enjoy discounts up to -15 euros per month by subscribing to the three streaming services mentioned.

In addition, Orange is offering new benefits for Open customers who combine an Internet offer and a mobile plan. By choosing a Livebox offer (Up, Max or Livebox Fiber Special Series) and an Orange mobile plan, subscribers now benefit from a double discount :

  • 5 euros per month discount on their internet subscription.
  • Up to 15 euros discount per month on their mobile plan, depending on the plan chosen.

This offer is valid for no time limit and is accessible to everyone, even Orange customers who already have a mobile plan. Finally, Orange announces the generalization of offers on Samsung TVs for customers who subscribe to a Livebox, Up or Max offer. The ISP offers prices on many televisions, starting from 49 euros. Finally, a new 100 GB 5G mobile plan without commitment at a price of 14.99 euros/month is appearing, after validation of the reimbursement request, when 2 or more plans are subscribed to on the same day, at the same address.

The operator informs that more than 5.5 million customers will benefit from boosted speeds without a price increase. There are also nearly 6 million people who already benefit from Open benefits.

And for Sosh customers?

The low-cost Orange brand is not forgotten and also benefits from some improvements. There Sosh box finally reaches a milestone in terms of flow rates, now offering up to 400 Mbit/s download and upload. We find faster with several competitors, but it is still a little better than the symmetrical 300 Mbit/s offered by the ISP. Everything else does not change, starting with the price set at 25.99 euros/month. A Livebox 5 is included while the TV decoder remains available as an option at 5 euros per month.
