The European cloud specialist company OVHcloud has announced the purchase of Sealda French company specialized in end-to-end encryption technology, with the aim of advancing its security and data protection strategy.
Thanks to the integration of Seald into your company, OVHCloud will incorporate cutting-edge data protection technology through a zero knowledge model. Through this model, the content is encrypted before being sent, and can only be decrypted by the end users, recipients of the content, on their devices. Neither the hosting provider, the publisher, nor the system administrator can access them.
The SDK developed by Seald has the CSPN security certification, granted by ANSSI, the French Cybersecurity Agency. It enables rapid integration of end-to-end encryption into both web and mobile applications, without requiring users to have advanced encryption knowledge. The solutions enable management of access rights, rotation of encryption keys, management of various devices and secure recovery of private keys.
With this operation, OVHcloud can natively integrate end-to-end encryption into its product portfolio. This will complement the security offerings you already have available, including Secret Manager, KMS and HSM. In this way you will be able to offer a complete protection chain, which goes from the backend to the user’s terminal.
Thanks to this purchase, all companies that use OVHcloud services and products will be able, once all the usual processes in these cases are closed, to design a differentiating technological offer to be able to respond to highly sensitive use cases. They will also be able to enrich and accelerate the development of ultra-secure solutions designed for both companies and public organizations.
