Do you remember when the cheapest foldable devices were pretty much as expensive as the most impressive “conventional” phones out there and no one could conceive using the word “affordable” in the same sentence as “foldable”? That’s… actually not that long ago, but while Samsung continues to charge a fortune for its Galaxy Z Fold-series super-flagships and roughly the same prices for Z Flip handsets as the most advanced members of the Galaxy S family, Motorola’s beautiful Razrs are often almost too cheap to be true.

Case in point, Woot’s latest (and greatest) Razr+ (2024) deal, which is obviously very much true, although not for long. This knocks the $999.99 list price of the two-year-old clamshell down to $417.09, and while that list price has naturally been reduced many times since 2024 by many different retailers, you’re looking at a totally unprecedented discount here.

What’s the catch? Well, it’s pretty simple… and predictable. To save nearly 600 bucks, you’ll have to make do with a phone in “new; open box” condition, which is a brand-new and undamaged product that has had its retail packaging opened due to being “a photo sample or a tested working customer return.”

To be perfectly clear, these are not refurbished or pre-owned devices sold at a little over four Benjamins a pop, and yes, they’ll come with the same 1-year manufacturer warranty that Motorola itself offers with brand-new, unused, unopened, and undamaged units currently available for $599.99.

If you don’t like that price or Woot’s heavily discounted $417.09 mark, your best alternative at the moment is probably a “renewed” Amazon listing that will save you an additional 59 bucks compared to Amazon subsidiary Woot. But the warranty terms are unclear in that particular case, “renewed” is not the same as “new; open box”, and the listing comes from a third-party seller.

The Motorola Razr Plus (2024), of course, is no longer among the very best foldable phones money can buy, but for $417.09, it comes with impressive 6.9 and 4-inch screens, more than respectable Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processing power, solid camera performance, excellent battery life, blazing fast charging, and perhaps most importantly, an undeniably gorgeous design. In short, this is an absolute bargain… that will only last four days tops.
