Amazon Prime Day opens to the public on July 8, but smart shoppers know that the online mega-retailer always has good deals even before the big sale hits. If you search, you can find some impressive price drops on gaming desktops and laptops, including many that we’ve reviewed very positively. If you’ve got money to spend and games to play, here are just a few awesome early Prime Day gaming PC deals, with more to come.

Nvidia’s new 50-series graphics cards are a hot commodity, and we’re starting to see high-end gaming machines shipping with them. For something a little less expensive, this Gigabyte portable still delivers a nice big screen, solid components and a comfortable keyboard for all your gaming needs on the go. In our review, we said that its performance was right on track for what we expect in this price range, but were pleasantly surprised by how long the battery kept on trucking. The WQXGA screen runs at a steady 165Hz refresh rate, perfect for e-sports, and the whole package has a fun and stylish design, including an absolutely unnecessary but charming projector that shines the logo behind the hinge. Gaming Desktop Deals

Gaming desktops are also seeing some nice price drops, most notably this 25% discount on a very solid MSI model with an attractive case that’s easy to access for improvements and five RGB fans to keep it cool. This is a midrange machine that’ll handle modern games, but not at peak resolution. If you don’t need all the 4K bells and whistles, though, you’re not going to find too many machines better than the Aegis Z2. The Ryzen R7 processor is competitive with Intel’s similarly-priced models, and the RTX 4060 graphics card is a known commodity. If you’ve got limited space, like a dorm room or cramped apartment, you can still snag a beefy gaming PC that just has a smaller footprint, with just 18.25L of volume, around the same size as a sneaker box. The internals are really good on this pint-sized wonder, featuring a fast AMD Ryzen CPU and a RX 9070 XT graphics card that benchmarked better than Nvidia’s similar entry. Plenty of RAM and storage are the icing on the cake, and the motherboard has lots of ports and room for expansion.
