Out today is the Qt 6.10 release candidate for this forthcoming toolkit release.

Qt 6.10 is working its way toward release release now in early to mid October. Some of the Qt 6.10 highlights include:

– A native PipeWire audio back-end is added to the Qt Multimedia module.

– Qt Graphs received a number of improvements for its 2D graphs capabilities, such as for hover support and multi-axis support.

– Qt GUI’s QRhi has added support for enumerating 3D graphics adapters when running on Direct3D 11/12 or Vulkan.

– Performance improvements for QGrpcHttp2Channel.

– Various accessibility improvements.

– Adding the lottietoqml tool for converting Lottie files to Qt Quick scenes in QML. There is also a VectorImage plug-in to enable loading Lottie files directly in addition to SVG.

– Support for 16KB page sizes on Android.

– Wayland session management.

– Graphics reset notifications that can be used by the likes of KDE KWin.
