Georgia just wrapped up a key portion of this year’s midterm elections. Qualifying ran from Monday through Friday afternoon, when interested candidates submit their paperwork to officially get their names on the ballot.
Many of the preliminary candidates who had already applied were qualified. But there were two new names: Tom Williams, a software engineer from Wilkinson County, is seeking the Republican nomination. Amanda Duffy is an accounting resident of Columbia County seeking the Democratic nomination.
