Due to rising demand around system memory being pushed up in large part by HBM for AI applications, Raspberry Pi announced price increases on select products to help offset the rising LPDDR costs.

Raspberry Pi reached a point with rising DDR pricing where they now need to pass on some of the increased costs to customers. The Compute Module 4 and Compute Module 5 with 4GB of RAM will see their price increase by $5 while the 8GB versions will see price increases of $10.

Raspberry Pi 500

Raspberry Pi 500 units will increase by $10 to $100 to handle the increased memory prices. The Raspberry Pi Development Kit for CM5 will see its price go up by $5 to a total of $135. The Raspberry Pi 3B+ will also see a $5 increase to $40.

More details on these pricing changes via the Raspberry Pi blog.
