Samsung has begun rolling out the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S24 series, with users in South Korea the first to see it land on their devices.

Reports from Samsung’s Korean community forums (via Android Authority) confirm that both beta and non-beta users are starting to receive the update.

The build numbers listed include S928NKSU4CYI7, S926NKSU9CYI7, and S921NKSU9CYI7. If you’re rocking a Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, or S24 Ultra, that means One UI 8 should be heading your way soon.

Last week, Samsung released One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 series, and many of the same features are expected to make their way to the S24 family. We noted in our hands-on that the software brings smoother animations, improved multitasking, and refinements to Samsung’s already polished interface.

What’s new in One UI 8

Samsung hasn’t posted the full changelog for the S24 just yet, but if it’s anything like the S25 rollout, you can expect a bunch of everyday improvements. Widgets should feel smoother and more useful, Samsung’s own apps are set to play nicer together, and overall stability looks to be tighter across the board. Nothing groundbreaking, but enough polish to make your S24 feel that bit fresher.

If you’re curious about how it stacks up against previous generations, check out our Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra review, where we highlighted just how capable the hardware is. With One UI 8 layered on top, the phone should feel even more refined.

Wider release soon

At the moment, the update is only confirmed for South Korea. A rollout to Europe and the US is expected in the coming days, though Samsung hasn’t provided exact timelines. If history is any guide, the update usually spreads internationally within a week.

Until then, owners can keep an eye on their settings menu under Software Update to see when it becomes available. Given Samsung’s track record of quick regional rollouts, Galaxy S24 owners outside Korea likely won’t have to wait long.
