Samsung is set to roll out native support for Google Photos on its AI-powered TVs next year.
Ahead of CES 2026, the company said it’s working with Google to “give users a seamless way to enjoy the moments that matter most, from trips and hobbies to everyday memories with loved ones—now on an immersive and larger screen.”
Surprisingly, Google Photos has never had a fully functional native TV app, not even on Google’s own Android or Google TV platforms. Once the support begins rolling out to Samsung TVs in March, it will be exclusive to the company for six months.
At launch, the Photos app will only support the Memories feature on Samsung TVs, which automatically highlights your best photos in curated collections organized by people, places, or meaningful occasions. (The feature needs to be turned on in Settings.)

Later next year, the Photos experience will be blended with Vision AI, Samsung’s suite of AI features for its TVs. This will pave the way for photos to surface on Samsung’s Daily+ and Daily Board, starting with 2026 TV models. Setup will be simple, Samsung says. Users will just need to sign in with their Google Account, and photos will begin appearing in designated areas.

Two other features planned for the second half of 2026 include Create with AI and Personalized Results. Create with AI brings themed templates built using Nano Banana for fun and playful transformations. It will also let you use Remix to change the art style of an image and use Photo to Video to transform still images into short videos. Personalized Results, on the other hand, brings a slideshow based on topics, location, or activity, such as the ocean, hiking, or Paris.
Ahead of CES, Samsung also announced its lineup of audio devices for 2026. It includes two flagship soundbars and two new Music Studio Wi-Fi speakers.
