In the great tradition of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Amazon Prime Day, Amazon has spread the savings love to Prime Big Deal Days, which begin on October 7 and end on October 8. This is a great time for pet parents to snag a usually expensive automatic litter box or pet camera for way less than usual. I’ve rounded up the best deals on WIRED-tested pet gear below. (Plus, we’re scouring Amazon for other great deals on our favorite pet tech throughout the two-day event, so check back often!)

Best Automatic Feeder Deal
This automatic feeder is a basic model, but it gets the job done. This inexpensive feeder with dual bowls is perfect for multi-cat households so that each cat gets their own portion without fighting at meal time. With a large 5-liter capacity, it can feed two adult cats for about 10 days, and each portion is about 1/16 of a cup with up to six meals per day. At 15 percent off, this already affordable automatic feeder is a super great deal.
Best Pet Fountain Deal
After reviewing nearly twenty fountains for pets, I highly recommend buying a fountain with stainless steel construction, as it keeps the water colder, is much more hygienic, and is less prone to harboring potentially dangerous bacteria than plastic. This spout is easily adjustable to allow control of the flow based on your pet’s preferences, it’s whisper-quiet, and I’ve had mine for over a year without issue. It’s a small price with a big payoff for your pet’s health.
Best At-Home DNA Kit
Basepaws has an at-home DNA test kit for dogs, which identifies over 300 potential breeds, over 30 genetic health markers, and almost 300 genetic trait markers, including blood type and oral health. The wait time for results is long at five weeks, but once you send in a saliva swab in a self-addressed box, results are sent to your email inbox (and you can also access them anytime through your online profile). Although genetic/ancestry testing is shaky at best, I found this test to be super useful to know essential things like blood type and predisposition to certain health issues. You can even send results to your vet, so they have a complete view of your pet’s genes and health. Now on sale, it’s a heck of a lot cheaper (and less traumatic) than an emergency trip to the vet.
Best Pet Camera Deal
This interactive robot toy and pet camera on wheels has a 2K HD camera, two-way audio, a laser toy, and you control the robot’s movements from your phone’s app. It’s lightweight and compact, can traverse around objects, and moves a lot more smoothly than other camera-on-wheels I’ve tested. It also has 24/7 video recording with smart playback, motion detection, and activity alerts so that you can always keep an eye on the goings-on while away; plus it always entertains (and perplexes) my cats. At $176 ($43 off), it’s a great price for peace of mind, not to mention a never-ending attention grabber for my pets.
Best Cleaning Deal
If you have a pet, you know that cleaning your home to be as fur- and dander-free as it can be is basically a second job on top of being a pet parent (and one of the least fun parts of having a fur baby). I live in a small apartment, so I’m constantly on the hunt for the best vacuums for pet hair to keep the amount of fur accumulation to a minimum. However, I find myself using this nifty tool more regularly than any of the vacs I test. It’s so satisfying to use in often-forgotten-about areas that accumulate lots of pet hair, like my cat trees, and for deep cleaning on high-pile rugs where vacuums usually can’t get out all of the hair. It’s already a cheap way to get rid of fur, but at $16 ($4 off), there’s no excuse not to try this small but mighty helper.
