Experis has presented the Trends Report 2026: technologies that drive, people that transform. The third edition of this guide offers a detailed overview of the priorities, challenges and strategies that are defining the work of technology leaders in the main organizations in Spain. The report brings together the opinions of more than 20 technology leaders from different sectors and analyzes the trends that will set the course in 2026.
Among its most notable conclusions, the document reveals that CIOs are leaving behind the experimental approach to generative AI to move towards more solid and business-oriented strategies. The priority is no longer exploring AI, but organizing the technological infrastructure to obtain a fast, secure and scalable return on investment.
«Our report identifies key factors that will make a difference: the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence, the ethical management of innovation and protection against cyber risks. Companies that lead this change will not only optimize their productivity, but will also accelerate their growth and strengthen their position in the market. And to achieve this, it is essential to invest in talent, specialized training and expert consulting that allows transforming the technological architecture into a real competitive advantage.”says Myriam Blázquez, general director of Experis Spain.
6 technological and organizational trends that will mark 2026
1. AI as a productivity lever. Generative and analytical Artificial Intelligence are consolidated as the main engine to improve efficiency, automate processes and accelerate return on investment. The report anticipates notable growth in AI agents, systems capable of executing complex tasks autonomously.
2. Power skills and talent management. Organizations look for professionals who combine technical capabilities with social skills. The coexistence between generations and the accelerated pace of technology make it essential to adopt continuous reskilling and upskilling programs.
3. Ethical and inclusive use of technology. The expansion of advanced technologies raises concerns about the lack of transparency and regulatory compliance. In this context, approaches such as AI TRiSM emerge, which focus on risk management, trust and security for responsible use of AI.
4. Fight resistance to change. Technological transformation is only successful if people adopt it. The report points out internal resistance as one of the biggest obstacles to the implementation of new tools. To overcome it, communication and continuous training are key.
5. Green IT and sustainability. Technology becomes a fundamental ally to achieve climate neutrality. The migration to more efficient infrastructures, the use of AI to optimize consumption and sustainable digitalization are determining factors, not only for corporate responsibility, but also for competitiveness and access to financing.
6. Cybersecurity as a top priority. The increase and complexity of new threats places cybersecurity at the center of technological investment decisions. It is not enough to deploy advanced tools, it is essential to form specialized teams, apply models such as Zero Trust and address security as a transversal commitment throughout the company.
