Sky is unlocking more than 35 premium channels for customers on its basic Essential TV plan, and it’s happening right now.
However, while you’ll get access to channels like Sky Max, Sky Sci-Fi, Comedy Central, Sky Documentaries, U&Gold and more (which usually start at about £22 a month), you’ll only be able to watch them for a limited period of time.
According to The Sun, this limited-time promotion runs until October 16. If you’re on an Essential plan, you don’t need to do anything but binge – the channels are automatically available to watch right now and they’ll disappear once the promotion is over.
In other words, if you want to watch the final series of Brassic or take a quick look at the new comedy, The Paper – you better act quick.
And if you like it? Well, you can upgrade to keep on watching with the Sky Ultimate TV package for just £3 extra a month, which includes all 35 of the channels, plus Netflix and Discovery+ too.
Opinion
This is a nice little sampler for Essential customers. Six days of extra channels isn’t exactly a long time, but it gives customers a taste of what they can have for just a couple of quid extra a month – and let’s be honest, some of Sky’s shows are worth that.
