SnowflakeAI Data Cloud specialist, and AI company Anthropic, have extended their agreement with a multi-year expansion valued at 200 million dollars which aims to facilitate the arrival of agentic AI to companies.
The agreement, in addition to making Anthropic’s Claude models available to Snowflake’s more than 12,600 customers, through its platform and in the three main clouds (Azure, AWS and Google Cloud); will establish a joint global commercialization initiative focused on the deployment of AI agents in the largest companies globally.
Claude, on the other hand, will act as a key model driving Snowflake Intelligence, Snowflake’s business intelligence agent. This aims to transform work by offering all of a company’s knowledge through a trusted agent.
This expansion of the alliance between both parties builds on their existing collaboration, with a new phase focused on the implementation of next-generation AI agents in Snowflake, capable of executing complex, multi-phase analyses.
These agents will be powered by Claude’s reasoning abilities, as well as his ability to safely handle sensitive data. In this way, clients will have the understanding of a broad context in financial, operational and customer data, among others, reasoning through them and teaching the process to arrive at the final answers instead of just showing them.
By combining Claude’s thinking with Snowflake’s governed data and AI environment, customers in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, and life sciences will also have everything they need to move from pilot projects to production with the confidence that they are meeting the standards they must comply with.
