There’s now another way to play Xbox games without buying a Microsoft console. Amazon has announced some of its latest smart TVs will now let you download an Xbox app to stream titles through Game Pass.

The new app supports Amazon’s Fire TV 4-Series and Fire TV Omni QLED products. The former comes in three sizes with a 43-inch, 50-inch, and a 55-inch, and the latter offers four models at 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch.

Amazon says it plans to bring the app to more smart TVs in its Fire range “in the future,” but there’s no exact word on which models are up next, or when you can expect to hear about further support.

In July last year, Amazon launched Xbox Game Pass support on its streaming gadgets, including its Fire TV Stick 4K and the Fire TV Cube. Microsoft already offers its Xbox app on rival smart TVs with select models from LG and Samsung able to stream titles.

You can now download the Xbox app from the Amazon Appstore on your compatible smart TV. You need to sign into a Microsoft account with an active subscription to Xbox Game Pass to be able to be able to play.

Every tier of Game Pass has access to cloud streaming, but what you can play will depend on how much you spend each month. The basic package is $9.99 a month, while Premium costs $14.99, and Ultimate costs $29.99. Microsoft increased its Game Pass prices back in October with its top-end option jumping up by $10 a month, equaling a 50% increase.

You’ll also need a compatible controller to play Xbox games through your smart TV. Game Pass supports controllers from various manufacturers, including Microsoft’s own hardware and Sony’s DualSense or DualShock 4.
