ProofPoint has reached an agreement to Buy the European Cybersecurity provider Hornetsecury, which among other things is to offer security promoted by IA for Microsoft 365, as well as data protection, functions of compliance with regulations and knowledge services on safety.
With this purchase, the American ProofPoint improves her online security offer capacity to SMEs and MSPS, thanks to Hornetsecury’s experience in both areas. The German has an annual recurring income that exceeds 160 million dollars and has a growth that goes from 20% year -on -year.
At present, Hornetsecury has around 12,000 channel and MSPS partners and more than 125,000 SMEs as customers in Europe. For its part, ProofPoint has between its clients with 85% of companies of the Fortune 100 index and about half of those of the Fortune 1000. Therefore, its target audience seems to be complementary.
ProofPoint, which recently extended its collaboration agreement with Microsoft, has as a star product at 365 Total Protection, which is currently among the main cloud safety solutions for Microsoft 365, a suite to which it offers integrated cybersecurity services: advanced email safety, backup and permissions control, among other things.
After the purchase, the Hornetsecury team will continue to work independently on its security products platform, while ProofPoint expands the scope of its platform to reach SMEs from all markets in which Proofpoint has a presence. Hornetsecury will also be the central hub for all small and medium -sized companies in the group.
Hornetsecury will continue to work with the same management team in front. The purchase, of which practically details have not transcended, will close if everything goes as planned, in the second half of this year 2025.
