The National Frequency Agency (ANFR) has been hacked. Personal data was stolen and put up for sale on the dark web.

The massacre continues. It is now the National Frequency Agency (ANFR) which indicates having been the victim of a cyberattack, a few hours after the Services and Payment Agency (ASP) and Parcoursup. On April 13, 2026, the IT service of the National Frequency Agency (ANFR) detected a malfunction in the management of its Radiomaritime teleservice, used in particular for licenses for radio stations on board ships. Internal investigations quickly revealed unauthorized access to data from all user accounts. ANFR closed the service without delay.

The attack extended from April 4 to 10, 2026. During this time, data belonging to around 330,000 users could have been extracted without the knowledge of the security teams. Among the compromised information, we find identity data, such as name, and also contact data, such as postal address, telephone number, email address and date of birth. The ANFR specifies, however, that no data relating to licenses or attachments has been disclosed.

Data for sale on the dark web

Seized by the ANFR, the ANSSI (National Agency for Information Systems Security) reveals that the stolen data was for sale on the dark webwith a supporting sample. ANFR directly warned potentially affected users by email. The agency recommends users exercise caution. Phishing campaigns may emerge.
