No more the large owner sector blocks that we forget at home or that you are struggling to replace. The new NOVA and Nova Pro bikes to ample integrate a USB-C port directly in their framework. Result: you can recharge them with a laptop charger, as long as it is quite powerful (at least 20V). A simple MacBook or an IKEA charger may be enough for recharge, even if it will be slower.
A USB-C port in the frame, and it is settled
With a good charger of 140W (that of ample costs 80 €), it takes about three hours to recharge the battery of 336 Wh, which is completely correct. In daily use, a 2:30 p.m. load is often enough to leave. And as a bonus: the port is bidirectional. So you can connect your phone to recharge it. It’s not ultra fast (15W), but it helps out.

The USB-C take is also a choice in tune with time: the European Union requires the standardization of chargers, and ample clearly surfs on this trend. Less cables, less electronic waste.
The Nova and Nova Pro were designed for the city. The first focus on a classic chain and 9 speed transmission, the second prefers a gates carbon belt and a mono-speed configuration, quieter and maintenance-free. The tires are wide, the frames exist in high or low version, and three sizes are offered to adapt to all templates.
Motorization level is classic: a 250W engine limited to 25 km/h, in accordance with European legislation. It is not a racing car, but that’s enough for everyday journeys. The assistance is fluid, natural, and not too brutal – right what is expected of a good electric bike.
Bikes are assembled by hand in Tallinn, Estonia, with renewable energy. They are guaranteed for two years, and ample has a network of partner repairers in several European countries.
NOVA (€ 2,990) and Nova Pro (€ 3,490) are already available in pre-order, with delivery scheduled for June 2025 in the EU, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. You can even refuse the charger if you already have a compatible, just to save a little … or just because you are fed up with double cables.
