The new dedicated channel for Formula 1 has appeared in the Apple TV app, starting today. Users in the United States can now see a dedicated Formula 1 item in the sidebar, alongside the existing Apple TV originals and MLS tabs.

This channel is where Apple TV app subscribers will be able to stream all of the races, starting with the Melbourne Grand Prix on March 8. As a reminder, F1 is now included in the base Apple TV subscription in the United States ($12.99 per month or $99 per year).

For living room versions of the app, you can find the dedicated Formula 1 section in the sidebar. On tv.apple.com, it is available as a quick link in the header. On iPhone, there’s a F1 channels shortcut in the Search tab.

The Formula 1 room will include quick links to previous and upcoming race sessions, alongside supplementary content. For instance right now, the channel includes some clips from historic races at the Albert Park circuit, to help build excitement ahead of the March 8 Grand Prix.

Right now, it showcases the upcoming weekend schedule, such as the times for practice, qualifying and the Grand Prix for the season kick-off.

Apple TV app users will be able to get a taste of the sport for free, with free streaming of all practice sessions across the season. Some (as-yet-unannounced) race weekends will also be available to watch wholly in front of the Apple TV paywall.

Streaming of all 24 races in the 2026 season requires an Apple TV subscription, though. This could be directly, through the Apple One bundle, as a free perk of the Apple Music Student Plan, via carrier bundle promos, or other means.

An Apple TV subscription also includes access to the F1.TV premium package at no extra charge, available through the F1.TV app and website experiences. You can learn how to link your accounts here.

Expect more details about more Apple-specific F1 production enhancements in the coming weeks, ahead of the first race.

And remember, this is the start of a five-year partnership between Apple and F1 in the Unites States. In success, you can expect Apple will be interested to strike similar broadcast deals in other regions around the world.
