Failing to offer its soundtracks on Spotify, Deezer, or any other already established music streaming service, Nintendo has chosen to release its own dedicated application. Launched in October 2024, the Nintendo Music service has since continued to receive updates which slowly but surely enhance its catalog of titles. NES, Gameboy, Nintendo 64, but also Wii, DS… All generations of consoles are represented: enough to enhance everyday life with a few nostalgic listens (or current ones regarding the Switch catalog).

Users can also sort soundtracks by franchise, and one of them actually gets some pretty special treatment. Following one of its latest updates, the Nintendo Music application offers a feature exclusive to music fromAnimal Crossingand we explain how to take advantage of it.

Music to the rhythm of your day

By opening the tabs dedicated to the soundtracks ofAnimal Crossing New Horizons et Animal Crossing New Leafthe music is classified according to the weather: beautiful day, rainy day, snowy day, etc. By selecting one of these playlists, the Nintendo Music application then offers a unique listening method. The application is able to synchronize sounds with the phone’s clock, in order to punctuate your day to the rhythm of Animal Crossing music. There’s something to sweeten any moment, whether it’s a day at the office, a walk in nature or a session of housework.

The OSTs of the Nintendo 64 and Gamecube version ofAnimal Crossingas well as those ofAnimal Crossing Wild World et Let’s go to the cityare still not available on Nintendo Music. But now that this feature reserved for the franchise is available, it surely won’t be long.

How to use the Nintendo Music service?

Nintendo’s music streaming service is accessible to all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers (with or without Additional Pack formula). To take advantage of it, simply download the application from Google Play or the Apple App Store, and enter your Nintendo account credentials. You will then be able to access the soundtracks of your favorite franchises.

The catalog is regularly updated and offers more and more cult OSTs, taken from all generations of the manufacturer’s consoles. So, whether you’re more nostalgic for the DS, or the type to listen to music from the latest Switch titles, Nintendo Music has what you need, and without ads.
