Samsung’s next Unpacked looks set to land later than the recent January routine, with February 25, 2026, in San Francisco now the working date for the Galaxy S26 reveal

This news comes from Korean outlet Money Today (via Android Police), and the same date and venue line up with what Jukan has shared on X, adding weight to the late-February timeline.

After months of speculation about new names and a slim reshuffle, the latest reports says Samsung will stick to Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and Ultra at launch.

The ultra-slim Edge concept is expected to step out separately, much like the S25 cycle, where the thin model arrived months after the main trio. A little extra time gives the company room to lock down camera tweaks, steady the software story around on-device AI, and avoid last-minute branding zigzags.

The Exynos 2600 keeps cropping up in leaks as the default platform across the range, Ultra included. Early synthetic numbers look upbeat, but real wins won’t be known until day-to-day use.

Strong battery life, cooler running under load, and faster on-device AI for things like image processing and live translation seem like obvious additions. That is the bar the S26 family needs to clear, especially if Samsung talks up AI as the headline this year.

The Galaxy series stands as perhaps the most well-known series of Android phones that arrive every year, and they consistently rank among the best Android phones we’ve reviewed. We were huge fans of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

In our review of the phone, we said, “The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is undoubtedly one of the best smartphones around right now…I’m personally a big fan of the redesigned look of the phone, bringing the design in line with the rest of the Galaxy S25 Ultra range while also providing better purchase and a more comfortable grip.”

While the design has clearly changed pretty dramatically on the S25 Ultra series, no one with a Samsung Galaxy Ultra model from the last 2 years will look at this and feel the need to upgrade. Still, it represents the best of what you can get from Samsung right now.

  • Redesigned chassis feels good in the hand

  • Oodles of power under the hood

  • Excellent camera performance

  • Gorgeous display with super-slim bezels

  • Much of the camera hardware remains unchanged

  • Battery doesn’t last as long as 2025 rivals

  • New Galaxy AI features are limited
