Create your own automated workflows using platforms like n8n.
Develop highly specialized software solutions as experts.
The group-wide AI rollout received additional impetus through a hackathon. More than 1,500 employees from all business areas attended the event. The goal was to independently develop ideas for AI and automation applications. The participants work on concrete use cases to integrate AI and automation directly into their everyday work.
With the low-code platform n8n, teams at Mercedes-Benz worldwide can create AI-supported workflows themselves.

The hackathon also served to collect creative impulses directly from employees and put them into practice. The best and strongest concepts from the competition should be implemented in the company. The plan is to implement AI workflows in all central business areas, namely in development, production, sales as well as in the areas of financial services, human resources (HR) and IT.
Modular architecture
Another feature of AI workflows is the connection and coordination across existing IT systems to simplify complex processes. In addition to classic automation methods, new approaches with AI agents are being pursued. And last, but not least, the workflows are intended to help teams solve problems faster and make decisions based on data.
Since software and AI are becoming central competitive factors in the industry, Mercedes-Benz is relying on a modular and flexible technology architecture. And this is where n8n’s platform comes into play as part of this architecture. It acts as a low-code platform to enable teams worldwide to create AI workflows themselves. Employees can integrate AI directly into their operational processes without requiring in-depth programming knowledge.
