This smart alarm clock changed my life, and it just fell to its all-time low price

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event is here, and it’s the unofficial launch of the holiday shopping season. Admittedly, while Amazon’s last Prime Day in July wasn’t all that I hoped for, this week’s deals are proving a bit more dangerous for my credit card. October’s Prime Day deals event runs from October 7-8, so make sure to check out by the end of the day tomorrow to enjoy the discounts.

Some particularly tempting deals are coming from one of my favorite sleep wellness brands. Hatch offers a line of simple but effective sunrise alarm clocks designed to help people build healthier sleep habits. I started using my own Hatch Restore 3 a few months ago, and I can confidently say that my sleep schedule has thrived under its soft glow and ambient sounds.

The Hatch Restore 3 usually retails for $170 but is currently $30 off at its lowest recorded price. Hatch has a few other Amazon-exclusive discounts up its sleeve — on nearly all of its most popular devices, too. I’ll break each of them down below.

Hatch Restore 3

On sale for $140

The Restore 3 sunrise alarm clock dropped $30 for this sale, which marks a return to the device’s all-time lowest price. It’s Hatch’s newest Restore model and gives you access to everything that makes the sunrise alarm clock one of the best in sleep wellness: ambient light, sounds, and a phone-free way to build a smart sleep routine — after you get it all set up, obviously.

While you can still buy its predecessor (the Restore 2) on Amazon, it doesn’t have its own Prime Day discount. In fact, it’s currently going for $170, or the same price the Restore 3 usually sells for. It makes much more sense to go for the newest model here, which I can personally say I love — even without a monthly Hatch+ subscription.

Hatch Restore 3 is Hatch Sleep’s latest alarm clock, which allows users to avoid using their phones completely at bedtime. The alarm clock allows users to set custom chimes and to “rise with the sun” as light begins to rise thirty minutes before it’s time to wake up.

The Restore 3 has a 4.3/5-star rating with over 3,600 reviews on Amazon. It’s also available on Hatch’s official site, but the $30 discount is Amazon-exclusive.

Rest+ (2nd Gen)

On sale for $75

Usually retailing for $90, the Hatch Rest+ is $15 off. It’s made for kids of all ages, especially toddlers and young children who might need a little sleep training. The Rest+ is a nightlight, sound machine, and sunrise alarm all rolled into one — just like the Restore 3. It comes with the same LED clock display, Wi-Fi connection, and app control that I love about the Restore, and it’s always my go-to gift at a baby shower.

The Rest+ has a pillar-like shape that’s notably different from the Restore’s iconic semicircle and boasts a 12-hour backup battery in the event of a power outage. Not even the Restore 3 has back-up power like that, unfortunately. It also comes with a charging base that powers the smart clock for up to eight hours, and it might just be a hit at your kid’s first sleepover.

The Hatch Rest+ is a smart sleep device combining a sound machine, night light, and backup battery to help with bedtime routines even during power disruptions.

The Rest+ has a 4.3/5 stars with over 10,000 ratings on Amazon, and is not available on Hatch’s official website.

Rest (2nd Gen)

On sale for $55

The standard Rest (2nd Gen) usually goes for $70 but is also $15 off for Prime Day. This sunrise alarm is almost exactly the same as the Rest+, the main difference being the lack of backup battery and charging base. The standard Rest (2nd Gen) must stay plugged in at all times to work, just like the Restore 3. I guess Rest+ kids are the only ones who get to take their Unwind routines and sunrise alarms to the slumber party.

You get access to the same Wi-Fi connectivity, app control, and an optional Hatch+ subscription as you do with other Hatch devices. The standard Rest (2nd Gen) is probably the better (and more economical) choice for parents who don’t think their child will need their clock for every night away from home. If you choose the second-gen standard Rest over the Rest+, you’ll save $20 — even with the Prime Day sale.

The Hatch Rest (standard) is a smart sleep assistant that integrates sound, light, and wake routines into one bedside device controlled via app. It does not include a charging stand or backup battery.

The standard Rest (2nd Gen) has a 4.2/5 stars with over 7,400 ratings on Amazon and is not available on Hatch’s official website.
