Today's NYT Connections Hints, Answers for Sept. 10, #822

Today’s NYT Connections puzzle is a tough one. There’s a “tut” and a “tut-tut” in there — which is pretty hilarious — but they land in different categories. Read on for clues and today’s Connections answers.

The Times now has a Connections Bot, like the one for Wordle. Go there after you play to receive a numeric score and to have the program analyze your answers. Players who are registered with the Times Games section can now nerd out by following their progress, including the number of puzzles completed, win rate, number of times they nabbed a perfect score and their win streak.

Hints for today’s Connections groups

Here are four hints for the groupings in today’s Connections puzzle, ranked from the easiest yellow group to the tough (and sometimes bizarre) purple group.

Yellow group hint: A kid might hear this when they’re in trouble.

Green group hint:  Go, go, go!

Blue group hint: Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood star.

Purple group hint: Not queen, but…

Answers for today’s Connections groups

Yellow group: “You should know better!”

Green group: Move quickly.

The yellow words in today’s Connections

The theme is “You should know better!” The four answers are bad, shame, tsk and tut tut.

The green words in today’s Connections

The theme is move quickly. The four answers are barrel, fly, race and zip.

The blue words in today’s Connections

The theme is Eddie Murphy roles. The four answers are Akeem, Dolittle, Donkey and Foley.

The purple words in today’s Connections

The theme is king ____. The four answers are cake, cobra, Kong and Tut.

Toughest Connections puzzles
