As enterprises scale AI across their ecosystems, the demand for unified integration has become mission-critical. Connecting applications, data and processes in real time is no longer a nice-to-have — it’s the backbone of digital agility in an AI-driven world.

Boomi LP is meeting that demand head-on. With its integration-platform-as-a-service and API management offerings, the company is evolving beyond its roots, leaning into the agentic AI movement while doubling down on its vision for a unified integration platform. Since the last Boomi World, the company has taken bold steps to infuse intelligence, automation and scalability across its portfolio — setting the stage for a new era of connected enterprise infrastructure.

API management has a projected market valuation of $20.28 billion by 2030, according to the GKS group, while the iPaaS market is projected to grow to $44.9 billion by 2033. Boomi has also released a series of AI offerings over the past year, capitalizing on the current agentic AI trend.

“Boomi is playing a pivotal role in modern API management by combining low-code integration, full API lifecycle capabilities and built-in governance, enabling both developers and business users to rapidly connect and manage applications,” said Paul Nashawaty, analyst for theCUBE Research.

The Boomi World 2025 event, on May 14-15, in Dallas will see experts and analysts gather to discuss the newest innovations in integration, AI and API management. Join theCUBE for exclusive interviews and live coverage of the event. (* Disclosure below.)

Boomi supports unified integration with AI

Boomi’s foray into AI last year appears to be paying off. The company has increased its AI offerings, most recently with its early access launch of Boomi AI Studio, which includes tools for designing and governing AI agents, a unified “Agent Garden” space for interacting with agents using natural language and an agent marketplace.

“Boomi’s infusion of AI into its iPaaS offerings reflects a broader industry shift toward intelligent automation,” Nashawaty said. “Industry data is projecting that by 2026, 80% of integration work will be handled by AI-enabled tools, up from just 20% in 2023. Boomi is aligning with this trend by using AI to streamline tasks like data mapping, error resolution and API generation.”

Since generative AI often involves managing significantly more APIs, Boomi’s newest API solution is designed to support AI innovation. Boomi API Management will facilitate faster data access and better system integration.

“This move mirrors a larger market push to reduce integration complexity and scale digital transformation,” Nashawaty added. “Research estimates global AI spending will reach $500 billion by 2027, with integration being a key enabler of enterprise AI adoption.”

Cementing expertise in API management

Last summer, Boomi announced the launch of Boomi API Control Plane, a centralized platform for companies to discover, manage and govern all of their APIs. The API management product merges the software assets Boomi acquired from APIIDA GmbH and Cloud Software Group Inc. earlier that year.

“At this year’s Boomi World, we expect to see a deeper integration of AI across the platform — especially in areas like automated API design, anomaly detection and intelligent data mapping — building on last year’s acquisitions,” Nashawaty predicted. “With API management now a core part of Boomi’s offering, look for expanded capabilities around observability, security and multicloud deployment to support increasingly complex enterprise ecosystems.”

In addition to the assets it got from APIIDA and Cloud Software Group, Boomi also acquired Rivery in December 2024. Rivery is a data integration provider that offers change data capture, which will enhance Boomi’s platform by facilitating the integration of data across silos and the creation of more efficient data pipelines.

“As enterprises embrace composable architectures and multicloud environments, Boomi’s cloud-agnostic platform provides a unified control plane for secure, scalable API connectivity,” Nashawaty said. “This convergence of integration and API management positions Boomi as a key enabler of digital agility in a rapidly expanding application landscape.”
