Chinese robotics firm Unitree on Tuesday unveiled its latest quadruped robot, the Unitree A2. Weighing around 37 kilograms, the A2 offers an unloaded range of up to 20 kilometers and a top running speed of five meters per second. It can climb one-meter obstacles and carry a 100-kilogram adult, or travel more than 12 kilometers for three hours with a 30-kilogram load, according to Unitree. Equipped with an ultra-wide-angle LiDAR system, the A2 is said to perceive complex terrain in real time and maintain stability on gravel, steep slopes, and other challenging environments. Unitree said the A2 is purpose-built for industrial applications, with pricing and release details to be announced later. [Unitree, in Chinese]
