The US International Trade Commission (ITC) recently issued a preliminary ruling on GoPro’s patent infringement case against Insta360. The ITC found that only certain exported Insta360 products were involved in a dispute over one design patent held by GoPro, but the revised design has been approved and does not constitute infringement, according to Insta360. Allegations concerning the remaining five utility patents related to core technologies such as image stabilization and horizon leveling were either ruled invalid or found not to be infringed, Insta360 claimed. The final decision is expected on November 10. [ITC]
