Virgin Media Gives Free Access To 24/7 Sports Channel To Millions Of Viewers

VIRGIN Media has added a brand new sports channel to its TV guide at no extra cost.

Millions of Brits will be able to tune in to the 24/7 channel starting from today.

Virgin Media has just padded out its sports line-up with a new additionCredit: Virgin Media O2

Virgin Media says that access to the Premier Sports Rugby channel is now live.

It’s the UK’s only dedicated 24/7 rugby channel.

And the TV giant boasts that it’ll give viewers “access to the most comprehensive club rugby coverage available across the UK”.

It also makes Virgin Media the only Pay TV service to offer Premier Sports Rugby to all subscribers for free.

Virgin Media says you’ll be able to watch the following events:

Investec Champions Cup
United Rugby Championship (URC)
EPCR Challenge Cup
Top14 (France)
Major League Rugby
Japan Rugby League One

“We’re offering every Virgin TV customer even more value with access to Premier Sports Rugby at no extra cost,” said David Bouchier, Virgin Media O2‘s TV chief.

“As the only Pay TV operator to provide this, we are demonstrating our commitment to give our customers the very best access to the content they love.

“And to further enhancing our sports offering with coverage of the world’s biggest club competitions at their fingertips.”

To find Premier Sports Rugby, simply navigate to channel 553.

It follows the December addition of two extra music channels that landed on Virgin Media.

On December 4, 2025, Virgin Media dished out Stringray Classica on channel 296, as well as Stingray DJAZZ on channel 297.

“To access our themed channels, simply navigate to that channel in your Virgin TV guide,” Virgin Media explained.

“If you have our V6 box, you’ll be asked to press the Red Button to launch the channel.
