WALMART has slashed 50 percent off its popular subscription service as part of its Fourth of July sale.

The retailer announced it is offering a year of Walmart+ membership at half price.

With the discount, new subscribers will spend $49 annually or $6.47 monthly.

Members get early access to deals and everyday savings, including fuel discounts of up to 10 cents off per gallon.

Other perks include free shipping with no minimum purchase and same-day delivery on select items.

Walmart+ also offers Scan and Go shopping via the app, along with shopping rewards and more.

Paramount+ is included with the membership, though the basic tier includes ads.

The 50 percent offer doesn’t include the 30-day free trial.

Walmart advertises the deal as “limited time only” on its website.

The promotion reads: “Get 50% off annual membership!

“Members get Early Access to hot Deals 7/7 at 7pm ET, plus all the benefits of Walmart+ like free delivery & gas savings.”

The retailer notes that the offer – available online only – excludes current members.

The deadline to sign up for the half-price membership is July 15.

Walmart first launched its membership service, Walmart+, in 2020, aiming to compete with Amazon Prime.

Walmart+ currently has around 25 million US members, according to Consumer Intelligence Research Partners estimates for the April 2025 quarter.

It comes as one Walmart+ member complained after a $6.99 delivery fee was added to their order for not meeting the $35 minimum.

The customer said they had a subscription for around two years and had never encountered the fee before.

Walmart customers without a membership are typically charged a delivery fee of $7.95 to $9.95.

Customers who pay for a Walmart+ subscription – which costs $12.95 per month or $98 annually – receive free delivery on orders over $35.

Orders under $35 are subject to a $6.99 minimum order fee.

The company had paused the fee during the Covid-19 pandemic but reinstated it in April this year.
