Rockstar Games has finally confirmed the release date for its highly-anticipated game Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6). The company in its blog post revealed the date and the fans are not happy about it. One again the launch date has been delayed and this a much late.

After more than a decade of waiting, gamers would finally see their favorite games of all time, GTA 6 in 2026. The Rockstar Games has finally unveiled the launch date for its GTA 6, which is May 26, 2026. Rockstar Games is a world-renowned video game developer and publisher best known for creating some of the most iconic and best-selling games in the industry. The confirmation of the launch of GTA 6 has finlly put an end to the years of anticipation for fans around the world.
We apologise that this is later than expected. The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto game has been truly inspiring for our entire team. We’d like to thank you for your support and patience as we work to complete the game,” the company says.

Trailer of GTA 6:
To recall, Rockstar Games first dropped the trailer of the GTA 6 in December 2023 and it became the most-viewed video game trailer in 24 hours. Not only this, it also became fastest non-music video to hit 100 million views.
GTA 6 Updates:
The gaming company teased some of the major upgrades in the upcoming GTA 6 including a stunning return to a Vice City-inspired location, improved graphics, and for the first time in the franchise, a female protagonist named Lucia. However, Lucia would not be the only character in the upcoming game. The game is said to feature multi character storyline and will offer more realistic narratives.
The game will be set in the fictional state of Leonida along with better visuals, bigger, and more functional maps. It is be equipped with enhanced gameplay. There will be police chases, stealth mechanics, and mission planning.
What About the Price?
In India, the standard edition of GTA 6 is likely to be priced at around Rs 5,999, while a special edition with additional content could go up to Rs 7,299. In the U.S., the game is expected to cost around $100. While Rockstar hasn’t opened pre-orders yet, fans can expect announcements closer to the release date.
