Whether it’s Netflix or Paramount, the streaming service intends to continue earning your subscription and boosting its valuation with high-quality content. This month has a bunch of new movies and series that caught our attention. Here are our choices for the best new movies and shows arriving in February 2026.
Boys Go To Jupiter (Feb. 6)
HBO Max is one of the top streamers for boundary-pushing animation thanks to its Adult Swim connection, but new animated feature Boys Go To Jupiter still manages to come out of left field. In suburban Florida, teenage Billy 5000 works as a food delivery person, a job that brings him into connection with a wide variety of quirky characters. When a former classmate tells him about some weird science experiments, it starts a strange journey from the stars to the sewers and back.
Neighbors: Season 1 (Jan. 13)
HBO’s partnership with film distributor A24 has been very fruitful, and now they’re teaming up for TV shows as well. Six-episode docuseries Neighbors looks at the way we clash with the people (geographically) closest to us; it visits towns all over the country to spotlight fusses and feuds between the people next door. Directors Dynal Redford and Harrison Fishman spent two years traveling to gather the footage, and the end result looks disturbing and hilarious.
Portobello (Feb. 20)
HBO’s first original Italian-language series snagged a high-profile creator in Marco Bellochio, a writer and director who has been active in the country’s industry since the New Wave 1960s. Portobello is based on a true story, where TV host Enzo Tortora was accused of being a member of the Camorra criminal syndicate, falsely sentenced, and locked in jail for a decade.
