Users in the U.S. trying to access Apple’s online store right now are being greeted with a “be right back” message, inviting them to check back soon. Here’s why.
No new products coming today
If you live in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or most of Europe, you likely noticed that the Apple Store also went down for a while earlier today.
Now, the same is happening for the U.S. Apple Online Store, as Apple gets everything in place to kick off its Black Friday shopping event, which will run through December 1.
During the event, Apple will offer a gift card worth up to $250 with the purchase of an eligible Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, among other products.
For instance, getting an iPad Air, iPad (A16), or iPad mini will get you a gift card up to $100, while getting an eligible Apple Watch will get you a $50 gift card.
It is worth noting that while a gift card of up to $250 is always welcome, this doesn’t necessarily represent the best offer possible, as it requires you to make an additional purchase to actually benefit from it.
At Apple’s official Amazon store right now, you can find AirPods Pro 3 for $30 off, AirPods 4 for $60 off, AirPods Max for $150 off, and multiple MacBooks and iPads with discounts that can be steeper than what you’d get with Apple’s gift cards.
As always, be sure to check out 9to5Toys for the best deals.
