Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun announced today that Xiaomi’s self-developed 3nm mobile processor, the Xuanjie O1 (Xring O1), will debut this Thursday. Built on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process (N3E) and packing 19 billion transistors, the chip is said to deliver performance comparable to Apple’s A18 Pro and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This milestone marks the first time a mainland Chinese company has achieved 3nm chip design capabilities, making Xiaomi the world’s fourth firm after Apple, Qualcomm, and MediaTek with independently developed 3nm mobile processor technology. On this Thursday, Xiaomi’s 15th Anniversary Event will feature the unveiling of the Xuanjie O1 chip, the flagship Xiaomi 15S Pro, Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, and the new Xiaomi YU7.
