This has become the norm on Netflix. Ciri is hunted
When the third season begins, our trio is reunited. Together they flee everyone who hunts Ciri and want to seize his powers. The teenager is capable of opening portals between the spheres and this power, in the wrong hands, could lead to a new conjunction of the spheres. As a reminder, this event took place 1500 years ago and brought monsters, elves and humans to coexist. The Witchers were created to rid the world of the bloodthirsty creatures that now inhabit it. Geralt’s surprise child is therefore chased by Nilfgaard and his king Ehmyr, who is his father, by the Elves who hope to find a land of asylum and finally the Wild Huntspecters want conquer other worlds.
Ehmyr continues his conquest
The second season of The Witcher concluded with a major revelation. The White Flame — threat that hovered over all the northern kingdoms after the fall of Cintra — is none other than Ehmyr. He is also known as Duny and is the father of Ciri. He ardently searching across the Continentwith the help of the pyromaniac magician Rience. He has many allies and one of them reveals his true nature in a bloody way in this season 3. During the Conclave, it is revealed that Vilgefortz is a traitor.

The Elves in revenge mode
After the assassination of the baby of Francesca, princess of the Dol Blathanna clan, the Elves consider allying themselves with Ehmyr. In exchange for a welcoming land, where they will not be rejected or hunted down, they must agree to provide soldiers for the War of the White Flame. Francesca considers making a deal before discovering that her new ally is also the person behind the murder of her child. She sets out on the path of revenge…
Rédanie in new hands
Season 3 focused its attention on La Rédanie and in particular the spies Dijkstra and Philippa. While their king seems more concerned with how his portrait will be painted and the rats in the castle than political matters, these two close advisors plot to hand power to someone else. This other is his brother Radovid who is more malleable and who could allow them to gain influence in the northern kingdoms. Season 4 promises plenty of twists and turns as the big finale approaches. Season 5, which is due out in 2026, will also be the last. While Henry Cavill has packed up, Netflix seems to have hastened the end of the fantasy series which was to become an undisputed hit. Except that the critics were not enthusiastic and the numerous spin-offs failed to create an event.
