The International Security Exhibition Sicur 2026 has just opened its doors at IFEMA (Madrid) to show your attendees the latest news in public and private security, fire and emergency protection, and occupational safety, with Cybersecurity and applied AI among its main areasalong with a technical agenda that addresses the challenges facing global security.
More than 670 companies from 25 countries are participating in the fair, which is celebrating its 25th edition and will close its doors on the 27th. It offers a strategic platform to disseminate knowledge about security, as well as to generate business and cooperation opportunities, always focusing on the technological transformation of the sector, the convergence between physical and digital security, and the development of innovative solutions for the protection of people, assets and critical infrastructure.
In addition to the areas dedicated to traditional security, such as labor, which represents 42% of the Sicur 2026 offer, the second most important is Security, which represents 34% of the fair’s offer. It brings together companies and experts in physical security, electronics, security services and technological innovation for the protection of people and property.
The companies participating in it will show their latest developments, in which AI plays a leading role. Among others, it is present in advances in security cameras and intrusion detection, access control or smart safes. This area also deals with drones, biometric solutions and armored doors and locks with remote control and activity registration.
Sicur Innovación will also present 16 selected products, which represent the R&D lines in which different companies in the sector are working and investing. Foto Sicur will be one of the central debate spaces of the event. It will bring together experts, professionals and institutions in the field of security to talk, among other topics, about civil security in the European context, accident management or occupational prevention with technological and regulatory perspectives.
Among the main novelties of Sicur is also the conference on Technologies for Public Security, organized together with the Circle of Technologies for Defense and Security and conceived as a forum for analysis of the use of advanced tools, as well as their regulatory and ethical fit within the EU framework.
Besides, the Sicur Cyber forum will focus on cybersecuritywith the participation of experts from INCIBE, CNPIC, CDTI, DSN, CCN and OCC, as well as representatives of the Security Forces and Corps and associations such as AEINSE, AES, EFITEC and APROSER. In this edition, Sicur Academia will also be launched, designed as a specific space for training, job opportunities and attracting talent to the comprehensive security sector.
