Euphoria, Dark Wizard, Boy Bands: What’s New to Watch on HBO Max the Week of April 10, 2026

HBO Max continues its countdown toward its merger with Paramount+ later this year. We’re still keeping up with all the new content until then. This week sees the return of one of the network’s most popular shows, Euphoria, along with a pair of docuseries worth a look. We’ve got a rundown of everything new streaming below.

This Week on HBO Max: PCMag’s Picks

Euphoria: Season 3 (April 12)

A lot has happened for the cast of Euphoria since the show first premiered in 2019, and it’s been four years since Season 2 wrapped. We return to the crew as they’ve moved beyond high school. Of course, they’re still dealing with many of the same problems, with Rue struggling with addiction and unhealthy relationships. This was a zeitgeist-defining show, so I’m curious to see if it still has the juice.

Boy Band Confidential: A Hollywood Demons Event (April 13)

Co-produced by Joey Fatone of NSYNC, the new limited series Boy Band Confidential delves into the early 2000s boom in clean-shaven young men singing harmonies and lightly rapping. There were dozens of bizarre and unsavory figures in this world, like New Kids on the Block manager turned Ponzi fraudster Lou Pearlman. Some of the era’s biggest stars are appearing to dish the dirt.

The Dark Wizard (April 14)

HBO has always found fascinating subjects for its documentary series, and The Dark Wizard is no exception. Dean Potter was one of the most notable names in the world of climbing, a free solo pioneer who courted controversy by scaling rock formations not meant for humans. After his death while attempting a wingsuit flight in 2015, his friends began putting together footage that paints a portrait of a complex man.
