Polestar retouches the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4. These two models feature appreciable improvements such as an 800 V platform boosting charging times. Their prices are falling sharply, making them competitive.
Polestar suffers from an almost non-existent image in France. The Sino-Swedish brand must therefore fight hard to find a place in the sun. It is now making a double effort to attract a still rare clientele: the prices of its two most high-end models are falling, while their services are improving significantly. Has Polestar just made electric luxury accessible? In any case, this is what seems to be happening with the Polestar 3 and 4, which become particularly interesting by correcting, for one of them, a major weak point.

Polestar 3: a technological revolution hidden behind the price drop
The Polestar 3, first of all, finally scratches an 800 V platform and corrects an absence which had hitherto been lacking. DC direct current charging power is increasing visibly, now being capped at 350 kW peak, compared to 250 kW previously. The recharge time announced by the brand for the 10 to 80% then drops to 22 minutes in optimal conditions, which corresponds to an improvement of 25%. This was made possible with Breathe Charge software constantly optimizing charging performance. The end result speaks for itself: 38% additional battery life is gleaned from 10 minutes of charging.
More powerful engines but autonomy sacrificed on the altar of efficiency
All versions gain a new rear electromotor with permanent magnets. The powers follow a general increase on all versions, with 333 hp on the Long Range Single Motor, 544 hp on the Long Range Dual Motor and 680 hp on the Performance. Since the battery capacity has decreased, going from 107 to 92 kWh, the ranges are decreasing. The Long Range Single Motor version loses the most in endurance, since the original 700+ km is reduced to 604 km. New colors are available, in addition to new interior trims.
Polestar 4 Coupé: an entry ticket under €50,000 to shake up the competition
The Polestar 4, recognizable by its stern without rear window, changes its name to Polestar 4 Coupé. If the car remains on a 400 V platform, its chassis has been reworked to offer better comfort and increased agility. The rest of the technique does not change. The brand also claims that the carbon footprint of this model has decreased by 1.1 tCO₂e. Prices are falling sharply, with an entry ticket set at €65,900 for the Polestar 3 and €49,900 for the Polestar 4. This corresponds to respective discounts of €13,900 and €11,900 valid until June 30.
