The future Galaxy S27s are already making waves through several interesting leaks around their screens and their selfie camera. We take stock.
The Galaxy S27s are only expected in 2027, but the indiscretions are already starting to rear their heads. In particular, we learn that Samsung could integrate its privacy filter (“Privacy Display”), the flagship function of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, into the entire Galaxy S27 range. The front camera could also be improved.
An “anti-spying” screen for all Galaxy S27s?
Reported by Korean media The Eleca new leak points to Samsung’s integration of its Privacy Display on its four future models in the range: the Galaxy S27, S27 Plus, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. Originally introduced on the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year to prevent prying eyes from people next to you, the feature is powered by Samsung Display’s Flex Magic Pixel hardware technology. By physically modifying the orientation of the pixels, the smartphone reduces the viewing angles over the entire screen or in a targeted manner, an option that can be activated, for example, on public transport.
While this is good news on paper, some Galaxy S26 Ultra users have also complained, pointing to brightness issues at certain angles when the option is disabled. This would also cause eye strain for some users. Samsung could obviously correct these teething flaws in a future version of its technology.
A new photo sensor for selfies on Pro and Ultra models
16 megapixels is the definition of the new front sensor which would equip the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra according to information from GalaxyClub. Samsung would finally abandon the 12 megapixel module used since the release of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The Dutch site believes that Samsung would adopt a square sensor which would offer a subject tracking function similar to the “Center Stage” functionality of the iPhone 17.

It is not yet known whether or not the “base” Galaxy S27 or the “Plus” version will benefit from this front camera update. As for the manufacturing of its screens, Samsung would continue to manufacture its own panels and would not turn to cheaper versions that certain suppliers such as BOE are capable of manufacturing.
