The National Rally website was the victim of a cyberattack. While a hacker claims a massive data leak, the party assures that the theft of information is confined to a single candidate.
The website of the National gathering was the victim of a cyber attack. The party indicates that it has recorded a « tentative d’intrusion » of nature “malicious” on the night of Monday July 20 to Tuesday July 21, 2026.
According to a statement released by the party, there is no indication that any data was compromised during the cyberattack. The National Rally assures that it has carried out an in-depth analysis of its IT tools and servers.
The data leak was limited on behalf of a single candidate in the municipal elections, reassures Marine Le Pen’s party. The information of the candidate’s running mates was immediately stolen. The RN points out the weak strength of the password used by this candidate, and specifies that its security devices made it possible to put an end to the intrusion in a few minutes.

A cyberattack claimed on the dark web
The party’s version contrasts sharply with the assertions of a dark web cybercriminal, who claims responsibility for the cyberattack against the National Rally. On a criminal forum, the hacker put up for sale a complete databaseallegedly obtained from the party’s official website, namely gatheringnational.fr.
This database would contain the personal information of more than a thousand elected officials and party candidates. Identity information, personal contact details, social security numbers, as well as documents such as national identity cards and passports. For the moment, the thug’s words cannot be confirmed by data analysis. According to information obtained by researcher Clément Domingo, the hacker would have exploited a loophole on the far-right party’s website.

In any case, the National Rally announced the filing of a complaint against the hacker. This approach should make it possible toopen an investigation in order to identify the hackers involved and to more precisely assess the real extent of the intrusion.
