Minecraft is getting its own theme park! Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios have just made official Minecraft Worlda unique immersive land which will open its doors in 2027 at the Chessington World of Adventures park, around thirty kilometers southwest of London. For us French players this is excellent news since this park is easily accessible by plane or even better, by Eurostar.
The project represents a budget of 57 million euros, which makes it a particularly ambitious project with the objective of bringing to life, for the very first time in a large theme park, the world of Minecraft. The best-selling video game in history with more than 300 million copies sold on all platforms deserved that, right?

Designed in close collaboration with Mojang Studios, Minecraft World will draw inspiration from the game’s most famous biomes, creatures and objects to faithfully recreate the Overworld in the real world. According to Merlin Entretainments, each attraction, each decor and each detail has been designed to stick as closely as possible to the original universe.
A unique roller coaster in the world
As for attractions, the highlight of the show will be the world’s first Minecraft roller coasteran absolute novelty that the park promises to be unprecedented on a global scale. Also on the program are interactive adventures, play areas built with giant blocks, and of course themed shops and restaurants.
How to get there from France?
Chessington World of Adventures is accessible from Paris in just over 3 hours via Eurostar. Even faster, a Paris-London Heathrow and then taking a taxi will allow you to be there in less than 2 hours!
