The hybrid multicloud computing company Nutanix has presented its strategy on multicloud platforms, AI technologies and services for cloud providers at its .Next2026 event.. Among the new features it includes is the new version of the Nutanix Cloud Platform for agentic AI, which will now have more capabilities to facilitate work in a context in which AI workloads increase, as well as the complexity of cloud environments.
The platform, in a context marked by limitations in hardware supplies, allows you to optimize the use of existing infrastructure and choose from a broader ecosystem of hardware suppliers, hyperscalers and service providers. Additionally, it makes it easy to run AI applications and workloads in any environment.
News in infrastructure and data services, and unified storage
Additionally, NCP has expanded its full stack capabilities with new AI infrastructure services, unified storage and advanced data services. As Nutanix Agentic AIwhich currently offers trial access only, is designed to make it easier to build and operate AI applications on Nutanix Cloud Platform. It will be available in the second half of 2026 and will integrate compute, storage, networking and Kubernetes services on a high-performance secure virtualization foundation.
This solution? incorporates capabilities to enable entities in the neocloud ecosystem, the next generation of AI cloud providers, to offer more secure and scalable AI services, such as GPU as a service, Kubernetes as a service, and a platform-driven enterprise AI platform.
Among the updates coming to this solution is the company’s multi-tenancy framework, offered through Nutanix Service Provider Central, and designed to make it easier for neocloud providers to operate large-scale shared AI infrastructures. This framework allows multiple companies to be hosted on the same physical GPU infrastructure.
Additionally, improvements to Nutanix Cloud Manager will make it easier for service providers to operate and monetize AI infrastructure as a service by offering monitoring and measurement based on usage volume. Thus, it will be possible to track and bill customers based on GPU usage, API calls, or model consumption.
Nutanix Unified Storage 5.3 (NUS) Transforms object storage into a high-performance layer for AI factories; and Nutanix Data Lens 2.0 adds analytics against ransomware, auditing and data governance; as well as visibility in distributed environments. Regarding the integration of the platform with MongoDB, it allows you to automate the provisioning and lifecycle management of databases with Nutanix Database Service and MongoDB Ops Manager.
Nutanix has, on the other hand, reinforced its global ecosystem of cloud providers and AI infrastructure with Nutanix Service Provider Central (SP Central)which includes new capabilities for service providers, allowing them to offer AI infrastructure and services with greater simplicity and security. For now it is in the testing phase, with general availability planned for the second half of 2026.
The company is also preparing an expansion of infrastructure support, with compatibility with different workloads through flexible architectures to take advantage of hardware investments already made. Foundation Central is now available, simplifying deployment on servers from Cisco, Dell, Fujitsu, HPE, Lenovo and NX, as well as Everpure.
Nutanix also offers sovereign control in hybrid multicloud environments, as Cloud Clusters (NC2) expands its options on hyperscalers such as AWS GovCloud (available) and AWS European Sovereign Cloud (available soon). It will also add new capabilities to Google Cloud before the end of the year. As for Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM 2.0), now available, it offers a new architecture to manage different large-scale clusters, and to unify cloud management in distributed companies.
Nutanix NKP Metal
On the other hand, the company has presented NKP Metalan extension to Kubernetes Platform (NKP) for deploying and operating Kubernetes directly on bare metal infrastructure. It is designed to deliver the performance and flexibility needed by today’s workloads, especially in edge environments and AI use cases that rely on GPU-dense infrastructures.
It incorporates automated deployment, lifecycle management and data services capabilities, allowing you to simplify operations in bare metal environments. It also includes an architecture in which containers and virtual machines operate with a common operating model, facilitating the common management of different types of workloads. It is available in early access, with general availability coming before the end of the year.
Nutanix renews its partner program and increases alliances and integrations
The Nutanix partner program, Elevate Service Provider, also presents new features, such as Service Provider Centralwhich will arrive in the second half of 2026 and will allow providers to operate multi-client environments on shared infrastructure, with automation and centralized control.
Additionally, the company has introduced the Powered by Nutanix: Verified Solutions program, which certifies services in line with its best practices and offers incentives to facilitate the transition of suppliers from VMWare, reducing the economic impact during the migration.
Furthermore, Nutanix and NetApp have announced an alliance to integrate the latter’s data infrastructure, based on ONTAP, with Nutanix Cloud Platform and the AHV hypervisor. The objective is to facilitate the modernization of virtualized and cloud environments. This integration will combine NetApp data management with Nutanix’s multicloud operation capabilities, and will allow optimization of virtualization and storage strategies in on-premises, cloud and containerized environments.
Among its advantages are the simplification of operations, the possibility of independently scaling computing and storage, faster migration of virtual machines and granular management at the virtual machine level. The solution also incorporates cyber resilience capabilities, including real-time ransomware detection, and will allow progress in the integration of NetApp ONTAP with Nutanix Agentic AI.
Another of the new integrations announced at the event is the one certified between Nutanix Database Service y MongoDB Ops Managerdesigned to simplify MongoDB database management in large-scale enterprise environments. In addition, it allows you to automate provisioning, simplify operations, integrate backup and recovery, and have the ability to restore to a point in time with precision of seconds. They also improve operational visibility and reduce recovery times to minutes, making it easier to manage complex MongoDB environments.
