Amazfit unveils the Cheetah 2 Ultra, a robust watch designed for trail runners and mountain athletes. It features titanium construction and six military certifications for use in extreme conditions.

Last April, Amazfit unveiled the Cheetah 2 Proa watch for athletes looking for performance. Today, the Chinese company presents the Cheetah 2 Ultraa model intended for trail runners and lovers of mountain challenges.

A robust model designed for mountain outings

The Cheetah 2 Ultra features a screen AMOLEDwhose brightness can reach 3,000 nits, which should guarantee excellent readability, even in direct sunlight. It benefits from a construction in titanium grade 5, a sapphire crystal to protect the screen as much as possible, as well as six military certifications which testify to the reliability of the watch in extreme weather conditions. Additionally, Amazfit explains that this model incorporates special settings that protect training or running tracking from accidental disruptions caused by raindrops or roadside vegetation.

This connected watch for sports also includes a flashlight bi-color emitting white and red light, as well as an SOS mode. The geolocation of this model should be particularly precise thanks to its dual antenna system, which should allow good tracking, even in dense forests and when crossing trails. The Cheetah 2 Ultra of course allows you to plan routes and then view them offlinelike during a mountain outing. 64 GB of storage space allows you to store routes, music or applications.

The user also receives real-time indications via powerful speakers : distance to the selected point, information on the climbs, turns and descents present throughout the route, including elevation and slope angle. An Internet connection is not required to receive these voice prompts.

The watch offers real-time analysis of multiple data : distance and pace adjusted according to slope, speed and angle of climbs, current altitude and body temperature. This model also displays atmospheric pressure and indicates in real time the time remaining until sunrise or sunset.

Health indicators, autonomy and price

From training to recovery, the watch provides several indicators: training load, short and long-term fatigue levels, lactate threshold, state of the nervous system (determined indirectly via heart rate variability), as well as the BioCharge functionality. The watch also offers more than 180 sports modes. As mountain outings are long, Amazfit announces until 30 days of autonomy in typical use and up to 60 hours in high-precision GPS mode. Finally, the Cheetah 2 Ultra will be available from May 13, 2026 on the Amazfit European site at a recommended retail price of €599.
