Mobile app security solutions provider Appknox today announced the launch of KnoxIQ, an artificial intelligence-native vulnerability assessment capability that introduces a new prioritization and remediation layer that sits between detection and development.
KnoxIQ has been designed to transform raw vulnerability findings into validated, prioritized and developer-ready intelligence.
As AI-assisted development increases the volume and complexity of vulnerabilities, it has become harder for security teams to identify which ones represent real risk and resolve them quickly. Appknox also argues that traditional workflows are not designed for the speed of modern engineering, as labels such as “high” or “critical” often fail to reflect real-world exploitability, leading teams to deprioritize issues that actually matter.
KnoxIQ aims to address those core challenges for security teams. For one, the new offering includes direct integration into AI-native developer tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to allow developers to act on issues within their existing workflows.
On the security side, exploitability-based prioritization replaces static severity scoring with AI-driven analysis. It ranks vulnerabilities based on real-world risk and automated AI validation of findings reduces false positives and eliminates the need for manual reproduction.
Other features include proof-of-concept generation to help teams quickly understand and confirm vulnerabilities. There’s also contextual, application-specific remediation code that replaces generic guidance with ready-to-use fixes tailored to each issue.
Appknox says tat one of the key differentiators of its approach is its binary-to-remediation model, which analyzes compiled applications based on runtime behavior rather than on static code alone. That improves detection accuracy and creates a stronger link between vulnerabilities and actionable fixes.
“By grounding security findings in real application behavior, KnoxIQ eliminates noise and delivers fixes developers can immediately use,” explains Raghunandan J, head of product at Appknox.
Appknox, formally XYSec Labs Pte. Ltd., has raised $669,000 in funding, according to data from Tracxn. Investors in the company include Seed Plus Ventures and Jungle Ventures Pte. Ltd.
