Fredrik Filipsson, co-founder of consulting firm Redress Compliance, told The Information that the new payment model can, in some cases, result in a tripling of costs for high-volume companies.
Claude lets up
The timing of the change isn’t necessarily ideal, not least as the quality of Anthropic’s models appears to have declined. For example, in a post on Github, Stella Laurenzo, senior director at AMD, complained that Claude’s code had deteriorated to the point where it was no longer reliable for complex engineering tasks.
In their opinion, the model significantly lost performance in February compared to the previous month. The AI would ignore instructions and suggest the simplest solutions, which are wrong. (tf)
