Epson has expanded its family of wireless document scanners in A4 format with two new models in the range WorkForce: the ES-550W and ES-590W. Both are designed for SMEs and professionals who telework or carry out their tasks with a hybrid work modality, since they allow documents to be shared without barriers between different devices and locations.

Both have been designed to offer high-speed, intelligent and flexible document digitization. They offer double-sided scanning, wireless connectivity and advanced media handling. They achieve a scanning speed of up to 45 ppm, and have a 100-sheet automatic document feeder, so they support the capture of large volumes of documents.

These two Epson scanners accept different media, which makes their use more flexible and makes them compatible with both small business cards of 50.8 millimeters and even long documents of up to 6,096 millimeters. As for paper weights, they accept them from 27 to 413 g/m².

The Epson ES-550W is equipped with WiFi and USB connectivity, allowing you to scan using a computer, smartphone or tablet through the Epson ScanSmart and Smart Panel applications. Additionally, it provides several advanced features that help prevent jams and optimize scan quality, such as ultrasonic double-feed detection, paper protection sensors, and glass dirt detection, which continuously monitors the status of the scanner during operation.

As for the Epson ES-590W, it adds to these functions other functions that improve autonomy, as well as a 4.3-inch touch screen, which allows it to be used without having to rely on a computer. This allows users to scan documents and send them directly to email, network folders, USB devices and cloud storage services.

The ScanWay function allows you to send documents to cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and SharePoint; directly and without depending on intermediary devices to do so. In addition, the ES-590W offers more network flexibility, allowing you to configure it through its touch screen, a mobile application or the web interface. On the other hand, it incorporates Bluetooth low energy for greater ease of configuration.

Both models offer one-pass duplex scanning with dual image sensors, a 5,000-page daily duty cycle feeder, advanced image processing technology (auto-crop, skew correction and blank page removal), and OCR features to create searchable PDF files and editable Office documents.

Both the Epson WorkForce ES-550W scanner and the WorkForce ES-590W model are Available from the beginning of this month of April throughout Europe through Amazon, e-tailers and authorized resellers.
