Google has officially completed the purchase of cloud security and AI platform Wizwhich will join Google Cloud, maintain its brand and continue serving its customers. This operation is an investment by Google Cloud to improve cloud security and facilitate the development of cloud and AI projects for companies.
Wiz offers a platform characterized by its ease of use, which allows you to understand in-depth cloud environments and codes, which connects to all the main clouds and which helps prevent and respond to security incidents. Its capabilities complement Google Cloud’s cloud infrastructure capabilities and AI expertise, as well as its AI-powered threat intelligence and security operations tools.
From now on, Google Cloud and Wiz will offer a unified security platform that improves the speed with which organizations can detect, prevent and respond to threats. They will be able to stay one step ahead with their ability to identify emerging AI-generated threats, shield models from potential attacks, and use AI models to help security professionals identify threats more effectively.
The platform will also offer a set of tools, processes and policies across all major cloud environments at every layer, from code to cloud to runtime. This synergy of capabilities will also drive the adoption of multicloud security, improving organizations’ ability to use multiple clouds.
Companies and official organizations will be able to improve the way they design, operate and automate security, expanding cybersecurity teams and lowering the cost of implementing and managing security controls. This combined platform will also help protect small businesses, which sometimes do not have enough experience or resources to protect themselves.
Wiz products will continue to operate and be available on all major clouds, including AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud. In addition, they will continue to be offered through different security partners. Google Cloud will continue to make various options available to its customers, thanks to the diversity of solutions from its partners, available through the Google Cloud Marketplace.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Googlehas highlighted that «Keeping people safe online has always been part of Google’s mission.
