If you incorporate a few simple exercises into your everyday office life, you will be doing your spine a big favor. Movements with the upper body forward and rotating movements are particularly recommended – as these relieve the load on the lower vertebrae or get them moving.
It is not advisable to move backwards because this does not put pressure on the small vertebral joints and causes pain. With the following five exercises, everyone can easily do something for their back in the office – incorporate the exercises every day or do them as soon as you have pain. However, if back pain is severe and persists for a long time, those affected should always consult a doctor.
Extra tip: Incorrectly adjusted office furniture can also trigger back pain. Check the settings of your chair and monitor. Those who switch to height-adjustable tables have just as much of an advantage as people who often make phone calls while standing. Sitting balls, on the other hand, are more suitable for home use because they cannot be individually adjusted.
