Huawei is set to unveil the Watch Ultimate 2 on Nov. 25. The smartwatch is the first wearable to support voice messaging via China’s Beidou satellite system. It introduces an acoustic communication system inspired by dolphin sonar that can send messages underwater at up to 30 meters and SOS signals at up to 60 meters. The system uses a 0.25-mm piezoelectric transducer embedded in the watch, enabling underwater communication without external accessories. Pricing is set at USD 890 (RMB 6,499) and USD 1,025 (RMB 7,499). [TechNode reporting]
